Excursion to Tafraout and Tiznit – Discover the Anti-Atlas Mountains

Embark on an unforgettable day of exploration through the spectacular landscapes of the Anti-Atlas, starting with pick-up from your hotel in Agadir at 8:00 AM. Travel in comfort aboard an air-conditioned 4x4 vehicle, accompanied by an experienced, bilingual (English/French) driver-guide.
On the way to Tafraout, enjoy breathtaking views as you pass through impressive mountain ranges, overlooking deep valleys and traditional villages perched on the hillsides.
Tafraout, a small Berber-speaking town located in the heart of the Ammelne Valley, about 180 km south of Agadir, is surrounded by stunning scenery: pink granite boulders, lush palm groves, and fascinating rock formations. Begin your visit in this peaceful, colorful oasis, known for its authentic atmosphere and uniquely shaped rocks.

Among the highlights, you'll discover the Painted Rocks, a monumental art installation created in the 1980s by Belgian artist Jean Verame, as well as the famous Lion's Head, a natural rock formation that resembles a lion’s profile. You'll also visit a traditional Berber museum, set in an authentic home and showcasing everyday objects from the region.

A traditional Moroccan lunch will be served in a local restaurant, offering a complete cultural experience.
In the afternoon, the journey continues along scenic roads lined with almond trees and green oases, descending gradually from the mountains. Your next stop is Tiznit, a city known for its well-preserved pink ramparts, bustling souks, and skilled silver artisans. You’ll have free time to wander, shop, and soak in the charm of this delightful town.
The day concludes with a return to Agadir, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel around 6:30 PM.
